About
the Author Zeno
Hromin is a veteran surfcaster whose love of surf had humble beginnings.
He fished from the early age by hand lining with his grandfather off the
coast of Croatia, in the Adriatic Sea. When he moved to United States,
he found surf fishing as exhilarating as any fishing he has done as a
child. Today, Zeno travels along east coast from southern New Jersey to
Maine, looking to tangle with big, feisty stripers. He has shared his
experiences on the Internet and in print, writing for fishing oriented
websites, He is a regular contributor to fishing magazines, The
Fisherman and On The Water. He has authored two best-selling books in
whole or in part, The Art of Surfcasting with Lures and The Hunt for Big
Stripers. Zeno is a recipient of 2007 Grampa Old Spook Memorial Award in
recognition of his willingness to help others and also for his
involvement with Send A Kid Fishing program. Zeno is also a
photographer, whose pictures have graced magazine covers and been used
by many print and internet publications including CCA Tide Magazine, The
Fisherman Magazine, On The Water Magazine, Saltwateredge.com and many others. His “Cuttyhunk Sunrise” image was
awarded First Place in New York Outdoor Writer Association Photo
Contest. Zeno Hromin is a New York State Fishing Guide,
